British Science Week - Saturday 17th March 10.00 - 16.00

Step inside Tower Bridge on Saturday 17th March for British Science Week, the UK's biggest celebration of science.

Take part in FREE Family Activities and learn how to make music from the outlines of the London skyline with sound artist and composer, Duncan Chapman.

Next, head down to the Victorian Engine Rooms, where staff will be on hand to explain how the steam engines lift the mighty roads and why Tower Bridge is just like a giant water pistol!

If you attend on the family activity day you'll receive a complimentary 6-month Family Activity Pass. This pass allows you and your family FREE entry into Tower Bridge on any Family Activity Day within six months of your visit.

FREE with admission and are open to children of all ages but are particularly appropriate for those aged 6 to 10.

Need to Know
  • Opening Hours: April – September 10am-5.30pm and October – March 9.30am - 5pm
  • Visitors are advised to allow additional time for security checks and lift access up to the Walkways. Entry into the Walkways cannot be guaranteed for a specific time at peak times or during bridge lifts.
  • You can take pictures anywhere on the Bridge or in the Engine Rooms. There are special windows that open in the Walkways so that you can take pictures without having glass in front of the camera lens.
