Best Bits

Join London Transport Museum for green-themed summer fun that will take young visitors on a journey of discovery, exploring big topics such as climate change and sustainability through family-friendly workshops, crafts, and storytelling sessions.

Discover stories from London’s transport past and present that will inspire hope for a greener London of the future. Learn about ingenious inventions from London’s history, to modern-day creations that are helping to make today’s network more sustainable, such as TfL’s Oyster card and zero-emission hydrogen buses. Plus, learn about the small day-to-day changes we can all make to help play a part in building a greener future. You can also explore the interactive Green Journey Garden, an installation that features four tactile areas to help children learn more about sustainability.

Get stuck into green-themed workshops, crafts and storytelling sessions inspired by stories of ingenuity from London transport’s past and learn how these can inspire hope for a greener London of the future.

While at the Museum families can also see historic buses, trams and Tube trains, ‘drive’ an Elizabeth line train in the Future Engineers gallery and climb aboard a fleet of mini vehicles in the All Aboard play zone.
