Halloween Family Fun at Whipsnade Zoo

Get ready for a wild Halloween adventure as Boo at the Zoo returns to Whipsnade Zoo this October half term, from 24 October - 1 November. 

Halloween Storytime – Join  Presenters for an interactive Halloween story, including Makaton elements. Sessions at 10.30am, 1.15pm and 3pm, every day except 31 October.

Creepy Crafts – Get creative in the learning hub and make your own Halloween flappy bat , with everything you need provided. Available 10.30am–3.30pm.

Halloween Costume Contests – Come dressed in your Halloween best and show off your spookiest style. Costume contest will run each day at 12.20pm, winner will receive a prize.

Wildlife Gravestones – Explore the Halloween gravestones at the Zoo from 10am–4pm and discover more about fascinating wildlife, including poisonous and venomous animals, and the conservation challenges facing species in the wild.

Ghastly Ghost Tours – Discover Whipsnade’s ghosts and horrible history. Recommended for ages 7+ due to themes of death and gore.

Spooky Train Ride – Look out for our spooky wildlife friends as you travel around the Zoo on the Halloween railway trail. The trail is included with your train ticket.

Ceramic Painting – Create your own Halloween keepsake by decorating a piece of ceramic item. 

Spooky Animal Talks – Discover some of Whipsnade Zoo’s most fascinating animals with Halloween inspired talks, including stories linked to this year’s poisonous and venomous theme.

Halloween Face Painting – Get into the Halloween spirit with spooky face painting.
