Inspire the young readers in your family with the Greenwich Book Festival. Full of fantastic talks and activities, this is sure to be a "Bestseller". Waterstones Children's Prize-winner The Bear and the Piano, and Mr Gum, Barry Loser and Lauren St John headline the children’s festival, with a mini-festival hosted by local children’s store Ottie and the Bea, Alex Wheatle celebrating diversity in storytelling and free creative writing, crafts and book-making workshops for all ages.
- Always wanted to learn how to draw Manga? Well now you can try out your skills with expert Manga artist Inko.
- Listen to extracts from ‘Dave Pigeon’ and ‘Bruno and Titch’, amongst other stories and poems, and get inspired with illustrator Sheena Dempsey.
- Take a leaf out of an old book and make a stylish pair of glasses, a moustache, a crown… maybe even a Victorian ruff!
