February Half Term at London Transport Museum!

London Transport Museum, Covent Garden

Kids go free!

Saturday 10 -Sunday 18 February

Best Bits
This year marks the 50th anniversary of London Transport first recruiting women as bus drivers in 1974, followed by Tube train drivers in 1978. This February half term, visitors to London Transport Museum in Covent Garden can learn about the pioneering women drivers, conductors, mechanics, engineers, designers, and artists who shaped the city and its transport as we know and love it today.

  • Follow a self-guided trail, get creative in sign-making craft sessions.
  • Join guided tours of the new Global Poster Gallery to discover the stories of women poster artists.
  • On weekdays, take part in zine-making workshops celebrating London’s transport heroines.
  • Hop aboard historic buses and Tube trains and learn to ‘drive’ an Elizabeth line train in the ‘Future Engineers’ gallery.
  • Discover a mini-fleet of vehicles in the All Aboard play zones, perfect for little explorers.
  • Grab a bite to eat for lunch or take a break with coffee and cake at their café bar Canteen
