Archikids Festival 2017
We are so excited to partner with our friends over at OpenCity for this year’s Archikids Festival! It’s back, bigger and more brilliant than ever…
On 22 & 23 July the City of London Square Mile will be overrun by mini archi-tectives discovering the iconic buildings and hidden gems of the City, as part of the Archikids Festival 2017. Archikids is a weekend festival of free activities for kids and their families to explore the city. The spaces to some of the most exciting buildings are opening, from icons the Gherkin and St Paul’s Cathedral to the cityscapes of Broadgate and the Museum of London.
The Archikids Festival organiser Zoe Zotou says, ‘There’s so much happening during this brilliant festival, from Lego competitions, architecture trails to a bus tour on an original Heritage fleet Routemaster- check out our easy to use programme now to plan your weekend.’
This year, you can become an Eco-Explorer in the churchyard of St Paul’s Cathedral, making your own habitat for city birds, bees and bugs. Explore the cityscape of Broadgate and join architects in creating a Funtastic Open City, providing you with tools to bring your city to life! Or strut your structural style at the Hatwalk Catwalk workshop, which invites families to design and make an architectural piece of headwear.
