See Santa on his special train with the fantastically festive Epping Ongar Railway Santa Specials. With festive food, a live brass band, a chance to meet Scrooge, Mother Christmas or perhaps the Grinch and a present from Santa himself, its the perfect experience to complete the festive season. 

• Departing from North Weald station, get into the spirit with festive food and a live brass band
• On your train ride, all children will receive a present from Santa, and adults can enjoy a free drink and Christmas treat.
• Kids can find time to write a letter for Santa or enter the drawing competition.
• Parlour games so your family can get some practice in ahead of the big day!
• Plus when you get back to North Weald you can get a quick picture of the train with Santa (not guaranteed due to time constraints)

All trains run from North Weald, with connecting bus services from Epping underground station and connecting train service from Ongar included in the fares. Your all-inclusive ticket allows you travel on the buses from Epping to North Weird Station and travel between Ongar and North Weird Station.

No visit to the railway is complete without visiting the Gift Shops at Ongar or North Weald. The friendly volunteer team will be pleased to welcome and assist you!

Cold drinks, ice cream, chocolates and snacks are always available from the Café, providing travellers with refreshment when they reach the "end of the line”

• £25 for Two Tickets (Adults and/or Children), 30% off

• Both adults and children will require a ticket as you will need to be allocated a seat on the train
• Babies and infants under 18 months are free! 

• Your contact details will be passed on to the event holder so that you may be emailed your E-ticket.
• Only valid for the date for which you have purchased.
  
• You should allow up to 2 1⁄2 hours for your Santa Special experience from either Epping or Ongar.
• Both adults and children will require a ticket as you will need to be allocated a ticket on the train
• Step-free access available on trains; no step-free access on buses.
• All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, who assumes all responsibility for them.
• 14-day cancellation rights do not apply; no refunds or exchanges permitted.

It is recommended you start your journey at Epping or Ongar. There is limited parking at North Weald station. Priority will be given to blue badge holders. Please park responsibly in the local area, but refrain from parking in the neighbouring road: 'Tempest Mead'.

Starting from Ongar

Please park in Ongar Town Centre - parking is free in December - from there it is a short walk to Ongar station. There is limited disabled parking at Ongar station, and this must be booked in advance. (enquiries@eorailway.co.uk)

An inclusive heritage diesel shuttle service will operate from Ongar to enable you to join Santa's Special train at North Weald.

Starting from Epping

The 339 heritage bus service operates from right outside Epping Underground station (Central Line, zone 6), picking up at any bus stop along Epping High Street and North Weald High Road to North Weald station. A large car park is available at Epping station (charges apply). See here for a timetable
