Spider-Man: Far From Home – Release date 2nd July

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever. After Endgame we’re still no over certain things that happened (no spoilers we promise) so hopefully this will be a fun adventure like Spider-Man: Homecoming and take our mind of things. If not, Tom Holland is a great version of our webbed friend so it’ll be fun to see him take up the role again making it a family movie that we don’t might checking out.

Starring: Zendaya, Tom Holland & Jake Gyllenhaal the film will be rated PG

The Queen’s Corgi – Release date 5th July

We always like it when a new animated feature comes out as they tend to be the kid’s films that try to introduce some original content and this month there comes the quintessentially British The Queen’s Corgi. The Queen’s favourite dog gets lost from the palace and finds himself at a dog fight club. He then begins his long journey to find his way back home. With Dame Julie Walters at the helm as the Queen we’re sure it will be a sweet adventure for all ages.

Starring: Jack Whitehall, Julie Walters & Tom Courtenay the film will be rated PG

The Lion King – Release date 19th July

Disney have done it again, and this month their latest sure-fire hit is coming out to wow with just how lifelike they can make those CG lions. After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery. With Beyonce and Donald Glover offering the voice talents this film is going to be huge and we’re sure it will be one of the biggest kids movies of 2019. Just wait, you’ll be singing Hakuna Matata until Frozen 2 comes out in November.

Starring: Beyoncé, Donald Glover & Chiwetel Ejiofor the film will be rated PG

Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans – Release date 26th July

We are not ashamed to admit we love the Horrible Histories TV series and will willingly watch it with the kids when its on so we’re more than a little excited to take the kids to this one. Roman teenager Atti is forced to join the Roman Army when one of his clever schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero. He is sent to “miserable, cold, wet Britain” where “the natives are revolting”. Based on the based on global beloved best-selling and award-winning children’s historical comedy book series it will be a hilarious romp that will (hopefully) have the kids learning along the way.

Starring: Nick Frost, Kim Cattrall & Warwick Davis the film will be rated PG

So, there’s our picks of what family films are out this month. If you’re going to see one let us know which ones, we’d love to know what you like to go and see as a family.
