Free Summer Activities at the Ragged School Museum

Enjoy free arts and crafts at the Ragged School’s Summer Activity days every Wednesday and Thursday until 27th August.

With our current Queen Elizabeth set to overtake Queen Victoria as the longest reigning monarch in Britain this September, the Ragged School are celebrating the 63 years that Queen Victoria was on the throne! Activities will be based around the major events, fashions, and inventions of the Victorian Era. You can look forward to lots of cutting, sticking, painting and clay making!

There’s an under 5’s play area as well as the Towpath Café for hungry tummies.

LittleBird Top Tip: Explore the reconstructed Victorian classroom recreated in one of Dr Barnardo’s original classrooms,  restored as it was in the 1870s when he set up his free school for poor children in the East End of London or try out some 19th century chores in the Victorian Kitchen.
