London Transport Museum, Covent Garden

Kids go FREE

Wednesday 23 July to Sunday 31 August 2025

Suitable for 0-100 years

Best Bits
Head to London Transport Museum this summer to celebrate 200 years of the railways. Families can enjoy six weeks of activities inspired by the people and innovations that have shaped London’s iconic transport network, from the building of the world’s first underground railway to the opening of the Elizabeth line. Meet costumed characters from London’s past, get creative in a variety of craft sessions to design a pop-up railway or Underground poster, and even learn how to code toy trains around a track.

Timed tickets to visit London Transport Museum can be booked online in advance at www.ltmuseum.co.uk. Kids go free, and adult tickets allow free return day-time entry for a whole year.

While at the Museum families can also climb aboard historic trains, trams and buses from the capital’s past – including an iconic red Routemaster bus and vintage 1938 stock Tube train, hop into the driver’s seat of an Elizabeth line train driving simulator or explore a fleet of mini London vehicles in the All Aboard family play zone.
