Best Bits

Grow your creativity at the Southbank Centre this Easter holiday and May half-term, as families are invited to enjoy their Spring Family Fun programme.

Discover a wide range of super shows, musical adventures and lots of free fun for all ages that promise to spark your imagination.

Learn to embrace change with The Koala Who Could. Join Kevin, the King of the staying-still-kings, for an outback adventure based on the bestselling picture book about taking a chance. Combining charming puppetry and catchy songs, this is an empowering, chuck-out-loud story for ages 3+.

Embark on a heartfelt and often hilarious adventure with The Boy at the Back of the Class, as a group of friends set out on a quest to reunite their new classmate with his family. The smash-hit, joyful play based on the best-selling novel is back with a celebration of friendship, kindness and compassion.

Join in with their selection of interactive free family events for all ages. Get ready to feel the reggae rhythm at our Good Friday family special of Simmer Down, unleash your inner explorer with Architecture Explorers: Family Trail and create at our giant collective artwork, Community Quilting: A Family Workshop.

In May half-term, join Drexel the inventor and his quietly brilliant servant, Pipe, as they try to invent something extraordinary in The Maker. Or witness Blizzard, a wild, poetic and gentle journey with FLIP Fabrique in an acrobatic performance that invites you to lose yourself in a moment of wonder.

Whatever you’re in the mood for, we have plenty of unforgettable experiences to entertain you and the family in the holidays.

Discover, explore and create at the Southbank Centre!
