REPLAY: A Limitless Recycled Playground is back!

Southbank Centre

An endless world of play in a limitless recycled playground for children and their grown-ups!

Wed 14 Jan – Sun 12 Apr 2026

Suitable for 0-99 years

Best Bits

Explore a limitless world of play, invention and imagination in a recycled playground for children and their grown-ups.

Part installation, part adventure playground, REPLAY is a space built entirely out of waste materials repurposed for fun by The Herd Theatre.

The space features a design to ignite imaginations, a score composed from recycled sounds and a crowd-sourced play generator.

Children and their grown-ups are invited to play side-by-side in this space full of things you can move, change, combine, wear and reimagine.

In REPLAY’s self-led experience, you can build your own worlds, invent your own games, be inspired by others and leave ideas for players to come.

They also offer Relaxed sessions, which are specifically intended for children who may benefit from a less busy space.

The Herd Theatre is based in Hull and makes shows, installations and experiences for children and families. They play alongside children to create artworks that celebrate, interrogate and nurture the joy of childhood.

REPLAY is part of the Spring Family Fun and the Imagine Festival at Southbank Centre.
