Best Bits

Calling all Musical Astronauts! Are you ready to ride in a rocket, dance among the stars, and walk on the Moon? Then fasten your seatbelts and join the sensational BBC Symphony Orchestra as they go on a magical musical journey into space.

Fifty years after Neil Armstrong first stepped onto the Moon, it’s your turn to Lift Off! with the help of some incredible music including Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Ron Grainer’s Theme from Doctor Who, and Hans Zimmer’s Earth, in a thrilling, interactive orchestral adventure.

Come early and enjoy free workshops including the Journey Through Music where you will find out more about the music to be performed in the concert, try out a new instrument, make a rocket shaker or listen to popular children’s author Simon Bartram read from his Bob, Man on the Moon stories!
