All aboard the Easter Express as Epping Ongar Railway’s beloved Bertie Bunny leads what is probably the longest Easter egg hunt in Essex.
Upon arrival, kids will receive a sheet with clues, before being asked to find as many numbered eggs as they can, which Bertie has sneakily hidden around the Railway - be sure to keep watch out the windows during your journey! At the end of your visit, return the sheet to one of our shops and receive a special Easter treat.
- From Ongar through to Coopersale, the distance covered is equivalent to 131,579 eggs placed end to end!
- Stay alert for Bertie the Easter Bunny, who will be out and about the stations

All trains run from North Weald, with connecting bus services from Epping underground station and connecting train service from Ongar included in the fares. Your all-inclusive ticket allows you travel on the buses from Epping to North Weird Station and travel between Ongar and North Weird Station.
No visit to the railway is complete without visiting the Gift Shops at Ongar or North Weald. The friendly volunteer team will be pleased to welcome and assist you!
Cold drinks, ice cream, chocolates and snacks are always available from the Café, providing travellers with refreshment when they reach the "end of the line”

All trains run from North Weald, with connecting bus services from Epping underground station and connecting train service from Ongar included in the fares.
It is recommended you start your journey at Epping or Ongar. There is limited parking at North Weald station. Priority will be given to blue badge holders. Please park responsibly in the local area, but refrain from parking in the neighbouring road: 'Tempest Mead'.
Travel:
One of the great features of the Epping Ongar Railway is that it's easy to get to by public transport - especially important in London. Take the tube to Epping Underground Station and the heritage bus will pick you up from right outside.
Alternatively, there are two morning buses from Shenfield Station (be sure to check the timetables). Parking is available at Epping Underground Station and Ongar Town Centre for which charges may apply.
