Kick back with family and friends and tackle a different kind of family weekend this summer at the UK’s biggest sports festival from 11 – 14 August, at Holkham Park, Norfolk.
Sports on offer range from hockey, rugby, netball, cricket and football to kayaking, golf, trampolining, lacrosse, boxing and skateboarding among others plus, new for this year, American football. Sports sessions are aimed at children aged 5 – 17, with additional activities for under 5s and over 18s spanning sports, wellbeing and entertainment.

What’s more, all sessions are led by sporting legends including Olympians, Paralympians, Team GB stars and internationally-capped players who actively participate throughout the weekend, coaching and playing alongside youngsters – and making time to have fun with accompanying adults too.

Come and play with rugby legends Will Greenwood, Austin Healey and Rachael Burford as well as rising star Sydney Gregson or take on a chipping challenge against golfers Graeme Storm and Hannah Bowen. Olympic gold medal-winners Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh will be there to head up the hockey zone, with Ryan Sidebottom hitting it for six on the cricket pitch.

Throughout the day, a bustling street food village offers plenty of choice for refuelling, and the action continues into the evening with live bands on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as open-air cinema on Sunday for the full festival vibe.

The Festival’s core aim is to make sport fun for everyone. As co-founder Austin Healey explains “The great thing about Festival of Sport is that it’s genuinely inclusive – everyone gets to do a bit of everything”, says Austin Healey. “There are no VIP areas, it's not about talent-spotting or competition, it’s purely about proper family fun, trying new things and enjoying time together outdoors.”

  • One lucky winner will win a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children aged 17 years and under) to this year’s Festival of Sport. Prize does not include travel to and from the venue, accommodation or food and drink – on-site options are available to book at www.festivalofsportuk.com
