Board for the night one of the capital's most historical locations, a 16th-century explorer. Sailors can test their sea legs and experience what life was truly like on board the tough English galleon, the Golden Hinde II; a full reconstruction of the ship Sir Francis Drake used between 1577-80 to circumnavigate the globe.
You will be split into groups and taught about the ship’s rules.
Children will be dressed as Tudor sailors to become members of the crew!
Brilliant, theatrical costumed actors and actresses will then teach you how to navigate the high seas.
The on-board surgeon will explain and show you about how diseases, sickness and injuries were treated in Tudor times.
Enjoy many traditional workshops and activities throughout the evening.
After an exhausting evening upon the ocean waves, your young sailors can bed down for the night among the ships gun deck and then breakfast of bread, cheese with fruit and hot chocolate will be served.
