{"id":353,"date":"2014-02-07T10:57:32","date_gmt":"2014-02-07T10:57:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/?p=353"},"modified":"2018-08-24T11:06:00","modified_gmt":"2018-08-24T11:06:00","slug":"something-silly-for-the-weekend-brilliant-egg-trick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/2014\/02\/something-silly-for-the-weekend-brilliant-egg-trick\/","title":{"rendered":"Something silly for the Weekend &#8211; Brilliant Egg Trick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve teamed up with our fabulous friends at\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sharkyandgeorge.com\/\">Sharky &amp; George<\/a>\u00a0to bring you a weekly dose of silliness!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2014\/01\/SomethingSillyBlog.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"SomethingSillyBlog\" src=\"http:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2014\/01\/SomethingSillyBlog.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For this week&#8217;s silliness, it\u00a0is quite an easy trick to do, but is very impressive to watch.<\/p>\n<p>You will need:<br \/>\n1 large water glass<br \/>\n1 outside sleeve of a small matchbox<br \/>\n1 small biscuit tin lid (or a small baking tray)<br \/>\n1 or maybe 2 (just in case) raw egg<br \/>\n1 broom stick or mop<br \/>\nSome water<br \/>\n-Fill the glass almost full of water<br \/>\n-Put the glass right next to the edge of a table<br \/>\n-Put the biscuit tin lid centrally upside down on top of the glass<br \/>\n-Put the matchbox sleeve standing on its end on the tin lid directly above the<br \/>\nmiddle of the glass<br \/>\n-Balance the egg on top of the matchbox sleeve<br \/>\n-Get your audience ready!<br \/>\n-Put the head of the broom or mop on the floor underneath the glass<br \/>\n-Hold the top of the broom stick and sharply shove it forwards so it hits the<br \/>\nedge of the biscuit tin lid pretty hard.<br \/>\n-If all goes to plan, the lid <strong><em>should<\/em><\/strong> slide forwards, the match box sleeve<br \/>\n<strong><em>should<\/em><\/strong> hold the egg in the air for a second and the egg <strong><em>should<\/em><\/strong> plop safely<br \/>\ninto the glass of water without breaking!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2014\/02\/EggTrick.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-354\" alt=\"Microsoft Word - Jan Something Silly.doc\" src=\"http:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2014\/02\/EggTrick.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2014\/02\/EggTrick.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2014\/02\/EggTrick-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.littlebird.co.uk\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2014\/02\/EggTrick-768x545.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tune in, for more silliness \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve teamed up with our fabulous friends at\u00a0Sharky &amp; George\u00a0to bring you a weekly dose of silliness!
