Imagine festival is back. But look out, because this year - the staff are getting smaller!
Children run the festival as part of Kids Takeover, they also feature in the performances! From the Imagine Craft Pavilion to the Imagine Fringe stage, this year there are day-long opportunities to make things, look at things, eat things and do things. Today we are offering a special selection of Imagine Festival events for you to enjoy with your little ones.
Close up with Charles Hazlewood & The Philharmonia Orchestra: From the New World.' The Southwark Youth Orchestra and the David Idowu Choir will join forces with the Philharmonia Orchestra to bring Dvorák's Symphony No. 9 (From The New World) to life. Together they explore the thrill of new and exciting places as well as how it feels to leave home behind
Private Peaceful (ages 7+) SOLD OUT relives the life of Private Tommo Peaceful, a young first World war soldier awaiting the firing squad at dawn. Author of War Horse Michael Morpurgo.
Roger McGough, Jackie Kay & Lemn Sissay (ages 7+) SOLD OUT One stop to a fun whistle-stop tour through their story books heroes. Featuring a wide range of characters battling demons and discovering new lands, and with adults firmly out of the picture, unlikely children emerge as champions.
The Trial of Dennis the Menace (SOLD OUT). Laughter, music rhymes and mayhem, Dennis the Menace is in a brand new show for kids of all ages. Beanotown is in crisis. Children Unite!
